After using a Latitude E7440 as my primary work laptop for roughly three years it's still going strong. It's sleeker and faster than earlier models, but noticeably more stable than later models. Plenty of options for connectivity and connects to the standard Dell docking station. Dell recently announced its newest line of Ultrabooks, the Dell Latitude 7000 series.The new lineup includes Dell Latitude 12 E7240 featuring a 12.5-inch display, and the Dell Latitude 14 E7440, with a 14-inch display.Both Ultrabooks will be powered by an Intel Core i3 Haswell processor and has SSD for its storage. Dell Latitude E7440 is a business laptop with 4th gen (Haswell) Intel Core i3 or i5 processors supporting vPro technology. It has a 14.0-inch anti-glare LCD display HD or FHD resoloution. There's an optional touch panel for FHD resolution. The notebook provides up to 500 GB HDD or up to 256 GB SSD. Maximum RAM capacity is 8 GB with DDR3L technology.
Ports you'll find on Latitude E7440 are a headphone/microphone combo jack, a mini Display port, an HDMI port, an RJ45 port, three USB 3.0 ports, and a docking connector. VGA requires mini Display Port to VGA adapter. It also supports E-family docking connetor. There are also 1 Full + 1 Half Mini Card slots and optional SmartCard reader or contactless SmartCard reader. Comes with durable Tri Metal chassis, it mesures at 0.8-inch thick, while the weigh is starting at 3.6 lbs.
